Welcome to PA Foot and Ankle Associates.
The foot and ankle is a complex structure made up of 29 bones, 34 joints, 118 ligaments, and 19 muscles and tendons, that merit a practitioner specifically trained in their care and treatment. Our feet are an integral part of everyday life, but sometimes we just take them for granted. Seventy-five percent of Americans will experience some degree of foot and ankle problem at one time or another in their lives.
PA Foot and Ankle Associates (PAFAA) was founded by Dr. Adam J. Teichman and Dr. Thomas M. Rocchio with a goal to provide advanced, innovative and compassionate foot & ankle care for the entire family in eastern Pennsylvania and western New Jersey. They believe their patients deserve to have the information needed to make educated choices about their foot and ankle care.
PAFAA’s goal is to educate each patient and begin a relevant treatment program with the highest quality of care available. Whatever your foot and ankle trouble, we’ll work together to find the answers that will comfort you and bring you relief. Good foot health is vital to your overall health.
Our Physicians at PAFAA have undergone intensive training in surgery of the foot and ankle. Unlike other foot and ankle specialists who are fellowship trained for 6 months, PAFAA physicians have post graduate surgical training for 3 or more years focusing only on foot and ankle pathologies.
All our Physicians at PAFAA are either board certified or qualified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery (ABPS) and are members of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ACFAS).
The ABPS requires qualified podiatrists to go through a rigorous certification process including written and oral examinations, as well as case reviews. All members are required to annually participate in continuing medical education activities, including recertification examinations every ten years.
