Pain in the ankle or lower leg should never be dismissed, as it can signal the presence of a number of conditions or diseases. The most comon reasons for pain on the insde of your ankle are:
- Sprained ankle
- Stress fractures to the bones of the ankle
- Torn or irritated ligaments
- Arthritis
- Gout
- Diabetic peripheral neuropathy
- or many other conditions
