Dr. Thomas Yanushefski is a foot and ankle surgeon with a strong foundation in podiatric medicine, surgical training, research, and patient-centered care. He earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine after completing his undergraduate studies in biology at Muhlenberg College. He completed a three-year surgical residency at Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton, Pennsylvania, where he served in multiple leadership roles, including being selected as chief residents.

Dr. Yanushefski has clinical interests in comprehensive foot and ankle care, trauma, reconstructive surgery, diabetic limb preservation, and lower-extremity infection. His training provided expertise in foot and ankle trauma, arthroscopy, foot and ankle reconstruction, and fracture management. He was also involved in academic medicine as a clinical instructor of podiatry at Geisinger College of Health Sciences and is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.

In addition to patient care, Dr. Yanushefski has contributed to research on necrotizing soft tissue infections of the lower extremity, hallux rigidus, and tick-borne disease, with work presented at regional and national conferences and published in peer-reviewed literature. Before and throughout his medical training, he built a strong service background through work as a podiatric medical assistant, emergency medical technician, hospice volunteer, and hospital volunteer. He strives to provide thoughtful, approachable care while helping patients better understand their condition and treatment options.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Yanushefski enjoys staying active through weightlifting and running. He also enjoys playing guitar and singing, reading, and spending time in the kitchen cooking and baking sourdough bread.
